It was funny driving around Germany, seeing solar arrays all over the place, here where it’s not sunny very often.
Today it was sunny, and it was great to see the rest of Lenggries. Today the people also came out, it was the first time I have had the opportunity to stand in a lift line in Europe. We’ll just say you don’t get bored… because if you stop paying attention for a moment, three 10 year-old’s who were behind you will walk on your skis right past you. That’s just how it goes.
Also got to see some interesting snow pack behavior today, I thought that standing around in the back of the resort and watching the afternoon sun warm the hanging snowfields above the piste might of gotten interesting, but I don’t have the patience for that. I did see a 50 kilo chunk of snow come down from above and almost take some people out on the piste. It was amazing to see how fast the snow changed today, yesterday I was looking for the south aspects to get any hint of light to help the visibility, today it was all about the shade. Gotta stay ahead of the tar babies sticking to the bottom of your skis!
Now I am in Salzburg Austria, waiting to fly home in the morning.
