Apparently Austrians are big on putting dead animals all over the place. Hotel lobbies, hallways, restaurants, stairways…
Another day of awesome skiing at a very small ski area! 20cm new on top of 20cm from the night before makes for wonderful skiing where none of the tourists dare to wander off of the piste. We had lines to ourselves all day from start to finish, one fresh line after another, beautiful. There were two other people with fat skis and packs, everyone else was on their slalom race skis.
One thing to watch out for here are the mostly buried barbed wire fences! Almost got caught on the wrong side of one of those in the middle of white room halfway down a steep gully. Last minute action saved the day from a very sad ending.
Had some classic schnitzel for lunch today (after the reindeer ragout last night), trying to get into the tradition of things. Not sure how big of a fan I am of the Austrian breakfast though.
Unfortunately the Swedes were less then accommodating for us, so we had to cut our stay short and move on.
