They sure do make it easy to shuttle your bike all day here, with paved public roads to the top of the ski area and free public transportation to get there, much less a huge network of bike specific trails for all abilities signed & government sponsored. Start taking notes Summit County / WRNF…
The trails are what you might picture as classic single track, buff with mostly flowing corners, some rocky sections, but overall smooth in a spectacular lush aspen setting with plenty of undergrowth, it’s a nice change from home.
The dirt is hard to beat right now, a little soft rain at lunch kept the dust down, and it’s a treat to ride on real dirt. It’ll bring a smile to your face to drift around every single switchback in complete control compared to the decomposing granite soil in CO. Kind of like the difference between driving with snow tires vs all season in the winter.
