- Don’t leave home on an adventure trip without your foam roller.
Gear to bring
- Bike park rain jacket
- Cool weather riding clothes for fall chair riding, if the suns out it’s nice, if not, it’s cool
- Spare brake pads
- Spare rear shock
- Spoke wrench
Flying with a bike
- Either TSA or customs stole the allen wrenches out of my bike box on my way up to Canada.
- Coming back I was able to open my box for security / customs and re-seal it in person.
- All of the United people I spoke with said my bike box could weigh 100lbs
- The Whistler shuttle charges you a $25 fee to bring a bike
AT&T International Data Plans
- AT&T claims that my phone randomly downloaded 440MB of data while I was out riding my bike. (which is more than I use in a month at home…)
- I ended up getting half of this fee back
- Always turn off your cellular data when in the condo on wifi ( they also got reports of my phone randomly downloading cellular data in the middle of the night when it should of been on wifi…)
- I’m having some luck using the AT&T wifi hotspots.
- Clear your cell data history and use that as your baseline for actual data roaming
- AT&T will let you adjust your plan until the billing date, so it makes sense to start with the small plan and upgrade if you need to.
