- Europe will teach you to pay attention. I bet there is a lot less ADD here, if you aren’t paying attention driving, skiing or standing in line you won’t last long. Things happen fast (seeing traffic come to a screeching halt on the autobahn was a good example of that). In America you really don’t have to pay attention, ever, it’s different here.
- Speaking of paying attention, if you start an avalanche and endanger people below, you are in big trouble. Not that I did, but it was taken into consideration almost daily.
- There is rad skiing in Austria, skiing that doesn’t involve fearing for your life at all times like in the French Alps.
- This rad skiing is greatly helped by the fact that most people don’t get after it here, This helps the “inbounds” skiing last all day.
- People in Germany are very friendly and willing to speak English regardless of how good they are at it.
- Don’t forget to put the bar down. And if you are on the chair with anyone else, expect them to slam it down on your head before you leave the terminal, Doug Klacik style.
- The food’s better in France.
- The Orange 5€ internet SIM card did not provide full data, next time try the 7€ Internet Max card. (Or another carrier)
- The meatheads at the TSA apparently haven’t seen an ice axe before and are obsessed with tearing apart my bag to inspect it coming and going. Retards. It is packed carefully so it doesn’t damage anything, that’s why its covered at the bottom, I’m not trying to hide it. It’s not going to hurt anyone.
